Getting to Föhr

It is easy to get to Föhr by car, train or plane.
If you are travelling by car, take the A7 from Hamburg and Flensburg-Harrislee to Dagebüll or travel via the A23 to Heide and the B5 to Dagebüll. A ferry service links the green island of Föhr to the mainland. You can leave your car in a secure car park/garage in Dagebüll (subject to a charge).

If you would prefer to take your car onto the island with you, please book a crossing with the ferry company Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei well in advance. Customers in Germany can either call them on 04667 - 94030 or book on their website,
www.faehre.de. If you are based elsewhere, please send the ferry company an e-mail (
info@faehre.de) or a fax on +49 (0)4681 80116 to make a booking. Ferry crossings operate regardless of the tides and take 45 minutes.
Rail passengers should travel via Hamburg to Niebüll, then change to a train for Dagebüll/Mole.
